As per the sayings of Guru Jee "Kalyug Mein Kirtan Padhana" (Singing of Hymns is Supreme in this Time), Kirtan is prime in Gurdwaras. Kirtan is performed twice in Gurdwaras. Sant Baba Gurdev Singh Jee always initiate Kirtan before constructing Gurdwara building.
The aim of the institution under the spiritual guidance of Highest Priest (Monk) Holy Saint Baba Gurdev Singh Jee is to transform our world into a peaceful heaven of selfless love, serving all people equally without discrimination and helping all mankind to live in harmony with each
other, our environment and our creator. We will achieve this through teaching of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Jee and other Gurus and following the directions of our present living Guru, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee.
As per teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Jee, all the services and prayers are carried out at Nanaksar Gurdwaras for the welfare of all mankind and not in the name of any person. This organization is committed to spread the message of Universal Brotherhood, living in peace and
harmony, and religious freedom for all as taught by the founder of Sikh religion, Sri Guru Nanak Dev Jee.
At all Gurdwaras, the classes to learn Gurmukhi (Punjabi language), Recitation of Path (reading of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee), playing of Harmonium and Tabla and singing of Kirtan are held on weekends as well as during the summer
holidays. Almost all the Gurdwaras have provisions to provide free consultation and medicines by the qualified doctors to the needy in the community.
In conclusion, Nanaksar organization has taken over the tasks of reviving the spiritual glory of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee and reaffirming the principles of Sewa (selfless service) and Simran (Meditation) guided purely by the love for Ten
Gurus and Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee. It is not a sect or cult but a congregation of mainstream Sikh masses that believes in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee and follows an open house policy where people belonging to any religion or group are welcomed and served.
